Gerard Pique backs Luis Enrique for Barcelona stay

Barcelona defender Gerard Pique says that coach Luis Enrique will stay at Camp Nou after overseeing a treble-winning season.

Gerard Pique is confident that treble-winning Barcelona coach Luis Enrique will stay at Camp Nou, amid speculation of a shock departure.

Enrique crowned a dream first season in charge on Saturday when the Catalans beat Juventus 3-1 to win the Champions League and secure their third title of the season.

However, it remains to be seen if the 45-year-old - who also led the club to La Liga and Copa del Rey glory - will stick around, having refused to comment on his future after last night's victory in Berlin.

"It's not my place to say whether he'll stay or not but look at the way he celebrated; he loves this club. I'm sure he'll stay," the Barca defender told reporters.

Enrique became the first Blaugrana boss to secure the treble since Pep Guardiola in the 2008-09 campaign.
