Barcelona's Ansu Fati sidelined for several months?

Barcelona starlet Ansu Fati is reportedly set for months on the sidelines after suffering a serious knee injury during La Blaugrana's win over Real Betis in La Liga.

Barcelona starlet Ansu Fati could potentially be out for several months with the knee injury he sustained in Saturday's 5-2 victory over Real Betis in La Liga.

The 18-year-old started the game for the Catalan giants but was forced off at the half-time interval, with his replacement Lionel Messi going on to bag a second-half brace for Ronald Koeman's side.

Now, Barca have since confirmed that Fati has ruptured his meniscus but the club remained tight-lipped over how long it could be before the teenager could return to action.

However, the Daily Mail speculate that the Spain international is likely to be out for several months with such a serious injury, with Fati now unable to build on his impressive start to the season.

The youngster has been one of Barca's top players in the 2020-21 campaign with five goals and four assists to his name in all competitions, but Fati now seems set for months of rehabilitation just days after being named in the Spain squad for November's international fixtures.

Spain have already been forced to replace one injured player for the upcoming matches, with Sevilla's Jesus Navas making way for Arsenal's Hector Bellerin.
