Sporting Gjion miss chance in Barcelona B draw

Barcelona B earn a 0-0 draw away to promotion-chasing Sporting Gijon, who missed the chance to move into the top two.

Sporting Gijon missed the chance to move into the automatic promotion places in the Segunda Division by drawing 0-0 at home to Barcelona B.

The Catalans had the standout chance of the first half when first-team player Munir El Haddadi saw his 40-yard lob cannon off the crossbar.

Alen Halilovic also found himself denied by the woodwork in the second half when the youngster's effort came back off the post after some 65 minutes.

It proved as close as Barcelona B came to winning as Sporting stay third, one point off Girona in second.
