Atletico Madrid 2-1 Malaga

Atletico Madrid keep their hopes alive of finishing in the fourth Champions League spot in La Liga by coming from a goal down against Malaga.

Atletico Madrid have kept alive their hopes of finishing in La Liga's fourth Champions League spot by ousting fellow Europe chasers Malaga at the Vicente Calderon.

The visitors took the lead four minutes before the break when Eliseu ripped a long-range effort into the top left-hand corner.

Manuel Pellegrini's side went in ahead at the interval and it wasn't until the 69th minute that another goal went in.

This time it was the Atletico who scored as Koke's shot found a way into the net following a corner.

Malaga brought Ruud van Nistelrooy on to nick a winner but it was the home side who stole all three points when Adrian tucked home Falcao's headed knockdown with eleven minutes remaining.

Atletico close the gap to fourth-placed Malaga to two points with just one game remaining.

Atletico next go to struggling Villarreal on the final day while Malaga play host to Sporting Gijon.
