How Aston Villa could line up against Sheffield United

Sports Mole takes an in-depth look at how Aston Villa could line up against Sheffield United in Wednesday's Premier League clash.

Aston Villa will be looking to pick up back-to-back wins for just the second time since a run of four wins to start the season when they head to Sheffield United.

The Villans edged out Leeds United 1-0 through an early Anwar El Ghazi goal at the weekend and may well go with an unchanged XI for Wednesday's trip to Bramall Lane.

That largely depends on the fitness of captain Jack Grealish, who has missed two games through injury but has an outside chance of returning here.

Ross Barkley is another who will be eager to earn a recall to the XI after starting on the bench away at Leeds.

El Ghazi seems certain to retain his place in attack as he looks to build on a return of six goals in the league and seven overall - five of those league goals coming away from home.

Kortney Hause and Matty Cash will definitely not play any part due to injury, so Smith will likely stick with the same back four from Saturday's win in Yorkshire.

Aston Villa possible starting lineup: Martinez; Elmohamady, Konsa, Mings, Targett; Luiz, McGinn; Traore, Barkley, El Ghazi; Watkins
