Preview: AS Monaco vs. Guingamp

Sports Mole previews the Ligue 1 encounter between Monaco and Guingamp.

AS Monaco will go into their Ligue 1 fixture with Guingamp in confident mood after winning in the Champions League in midweek.

Coach Leonardo Jardim's side have been poor domestically, but their 1-0 success over Bayer Leverkusen should give them the belief that they can replicate last season's challenge at the top of the standings.

Jardim could retain the same lineup that started their triumph in midweek, which was just their second victory in six games in all competitions.

Guingamp have endured a mixed start to the campaign, but their 2-1 victory over Bordeaux last weekend suggested that they had turned a corner.

However, after being thumped 3-0 by Fiorentina in the Europa League, coach Jocelyn Gourvennec has a tough test on his hands to lift a team who are currently sitting just above the relegation zone.

Gourvennec could include Sambou Yatabare as a replacement for on-loan winger Sylvain Marveaux.
