England midfielder Jack Wilshere reportedly gives Arsenal one more chance to match his contract demands or face the prospect of losing him on a free transfer.

Jack Wilshere has given Arsenal one final chance to match his contract demands, according to reports.

The 26-year-old's current deal at the Emirates Stadium runs out at the end of the season, and negotiations to extend his stay have reached an impasse over suggestions of a pay cut.

According to The Sun, the Gunners hierarchy wanted Wilshere to accept a 25% reduction in his wages, currently at £120,000 per week, but the England international rejected the proposition.

The report claims that the midfielder originally told Arsenal he would be leaving on a free transfer but has now given them one last chance to match his demands.

Wilshere is reportedly eager to remain at the club where he came through the ranks, but feels that he has proven his fitness and ability following numerous injury-plagued seasons and wants his salary to remain the same.

Italian giants Juventus and AC Milan are both believed to be monitoring the situation, while Everton and West Ham United are reportedly willing to offer Wilshere a higher wage.
