England all out for 398

England post a score of 398 from their first innings to give them a lead of 155 runs over the West Indies at Lord's.

England ended their first innings against the West Indies with 398 runs at Lord's this afternoon.

The home side resumed day three on 259-3 and a lead of 16 runs thanks largely to a 121-run contribution from captain Andrew Strauss.

However, the skipper was only able to add one more run to his tally before he was caught by Denesh Ramdin off the bowling of Kemar Roach.

Debutant Jonny Bairstow made 16, while Matt Prior was bowled by Shannon Gabriel for 19. The wicket of Prior was Gabriel's first in Test cricket.

Tim Bresnan then went for a duck, before Stuart Broad (10) and Graeme Swann (30) ensured that England passed the 350 mark.

The innings was ended when Ian Bell was caught in the deep Kieran Powell.

The Windies will begin their second innings 155 runs behind their hosts.
