Sports Mole brings you the latest traffic news as spectators travel into central London to witness tonight's Olympic opening ceremony.

Good morning and welcome to Sports Mole's traffic update as thousands of spectators prepare to mark the beginning of the Olympic Games at the opening ceremony in Stratford this evening.

Delays are expected this morning in and around central London as road users reaching the junction for the capital are not permitted to turn right or left as they head into the city, while one lane reserved for Games Family only is in operation.

Traffic has also been building up in the last half an hour on the A12 southbound at Lea Interchange due to traffic management for London 2012.

Cars on the A13 Canning Town Flyer westbound in Canning Town between Canning Town Flyover and the A1261 East India Dock Tunnel junction are also expecting delays due to the amount of traffic heading for the Games.

With regards to the London Underground system, the Victoria line heading through Brixton is currently not providing step free access due to problems with lifts, while the London Overground through Camden Road is experiencing the same problem.

There are not expected to be any planned disruptions on the Underground for the duration of the day.
