Heinrich Popow wins gold in the men's T42 100m final in a new European record time.

Germany's Heinrich Popow has won gold in the men's T42 100m final in a new European record time.

It was a close race, with the German's power winning through in the end. Popow's 12.40s took gold ahead of Scott Reardon of Australia, whose 12.43s won him silver.

Wojtek Czyz, also of Germany, took bronze with a season's best of 12.52s.

ParalympicsGB's Richard Whitehead could not match the personal best he set in the heat, but managed to pip Shaquille Vance of United States into seventh.
