Bethy Woodward helps England to half-century of medals

Bethy Woodward wins England's 50th medal of the Commonwealth Games following her silver in the women's para-sport long jump.

Bethy Woodward has taken England to 50 medals in the 2014 Commonwealth Games after winning silver in the women's para-sport long jump this afternoon.

The 21-year-old Paralympian lept 4m in her final jump, but it was not enough to claim gold as Jodi Elkington came in at 4.39m to become Australia's 20th champion of the Games.

Meanwhile, Johanna Benson has the distinction of earning Namibia's first medal in Glasgow this summer following her bronze.
