Report: Sam Bradford ruled out for season

A report claims that St Louis Rams quarterback Sam Bradford is ruled out for the season with a torn ACL sustained in his side's pre-season win over the Cleveland Browns.

St Louis Rams quarterback Sam Bradford has been ruled out for the entire 2014 season, according to a report.

The 26-year-old sustained a torn ACL during his side's pre-season win over the Cleveland Browns after taking a hit from defensive end Armonty Bryant.

Bradford limped back to the locker room immediately after the incident, although the initial prognosis was said not to be too severe.

However, tests on the quarterback's leg confirmed that he had torn the ligament and will now miss the 2014 campaign, reports ESPN.

Bradford suffered the same injury last season as he missed the final nine games of the campaign.
