Jeff Fisher: Sam Bradford is "ready to go"

St Louis Rams head coach Jeff Fisher insists that quarterback Sam Bradford is in "great shape" following knee ligament surgery.

Jeff Fisher has insisted that Sam Bradford is "ready to go" during the St Louis Rams' training camp.

The quarterback missed the majority of the 2013 NFL season after tearing his anterior cruciate ligament.

The head coach told the St Louis Post-Dispatch: "Sam is in great shape. He's ready to go. We don't have [reservations] right now as we speak, as camp starts, he's full-go. If we need to back him down here and there, we'll back him down.

"If he doesn't play in the first pre-season game, it's not because he can't. It'll be [because] it's our choice not to play him. But he will play in the pre-season."

The Rams will face the New Orleans Saints in their opening pre-season game.
