Mark Ingram to play against Detroit Lions

New Orleans Saints star Mark Ingram insists that he has recovered from a fractured thumb and is ready to play this weekend.

New Orleans Saints running back Mark Ingram has insisted that he will play against the Detroit Lions in week seven.

Ingram sustained a fractured thumb earlier this season but after returning to full practice on Wednesday, he expects to feature against the Lions.

"I'm ready to go full go, 100%, full tilt," Ingram said, the Times-Picayune reports.

"I've been getting all the reps in practice. They haven't babied me or eased me into practice. So I've been doing everything, catching, running, blocking, everything."

Coach Sean Payton has not yet confirmed that Ingram, who led all NFL starters with 6.0 yards per carry prior to his injury, will feature.
