Houston Texans head coach Bill O'Brien: 'Brian Cushing looks in good shape'

Houston Texans head coach Bill O'Brien believes that Brian Cushing has had a "hell of an off-season" as he looks to get back to his best form in the 2015 season.

Houston Texans head coach Bill O'Brien feels that linebacker Brian Cushing is beginning to look back to his best following a strong off-season.

The 28-year-old's career has been blighted with injuries as he sustained a torn ACL in the 2012 season and suffered a broken fibula and torn LCL in the 2013 campaign.

Cushing played 14 games for the Texans last season, but struggled to find his best form. However, after watching his displays in his side's practices, O'Brien believes that the linebacker looks in very good shape.

"He's come back and had a hell of an off-season," O'Brien told reporters. "He's moving well.

"He made a play out there in a two-minute drill on about a 20-yard pass, where he got back in coverage and he tipped the ball away. That was a big play. It was good for me to see that."

Cushing recorded 72 tackles, one sack and one interception for the Texans last season.
