Track worker hospitalised in Sochi sleigh incident

Track worker hurt in sleigh incident

A track worker has reportedly been injured in an accident with a sleigh at the Sanki Sliding Centre in Sochi.

In a bobsleigh practice session, an empty forerunner sleigh was sent down the course and hit a worker who was part of a team working to repair a light fitting, according to reports.

The worker has been taken to hospital, an ambulance reportedly being seen leaving the track shortly after the incident.

Canadian skier Yuki Tsubota was stretchered off the Rosa Khutor piste two days ago after falling heavily during the Olympic skiing slopestyle final, and was attended to by a team doctor.
