Sochi closing ceremony mocks failed Olympic ring opening

Sochi closing ceremony mocks failed ring

The Sochi Winter Olympics closing ceremony has poked fun at the opening ceremony's failed attempt to open up an Olympic ring two weeks ago.

At the Fisht Olympic Stadium, a group of performers had been forming a variety of shapes of increasing degrees of difficulty during the ceremony.

Towards the end of their presentation they created four Olympic rings, with a closed one in the top right.

Eventually the shut ring opened up to unveil a full set, as per the standard Olympic logo, and a few bonus fireworks were let off.
