Great Britain speed skater Elise Christie admits that she is "glad to be going back home" after being disqualified three times in the Sochi Winter Olympics.

Great Britain speed skater Elise Christie has admitted that she is "glad to be going back home" after competing in the Sochi Winter Olympics.

The 23-year-old, who took part in the 500m, the 1000m and the 1500m speed skating competitions, was disqualified from all three of her events.

Christie told BBC Sport: "I'm really thankful to everyone back home for their support.

"I probably would not have made it back on ice without it, they've lifted everyone's spirit. But I'm glad to be going back home."

The Livingston-born skater suffered at the hands of online bullies during her time in Sochi.
