Nishikori exits Rogers Cup

Kei Nishikori has become the latest seed to be knocked out in the second round of the Rogers Cup following his straight-sets defeat to Sam Querrey.

The 13th seed went down 6-2 in the opening set before American Querrey took the second 6-3 in Toronto.

Nishikori joins Gilles Simon, Juan Martin del Potro and Jo-Wilfried Tsonga as one of the early casualties at the tournament.

Querrey's victory means that he will now take on either top seed Novak Djokovic or Bernard Tomic for a place in the last eight.
