Petra Kvitova trounces Marion Bartoli in Montreal

Petra Kvitova has booked her place in the quarter-finals of the Rogers Cup with a resounding straight-sets win over Marion Bartoli in Montreal.

The sixth seed stormed through the first set in just 30 minutes as three breaks of serve saw the Czech take it 6-1.

It was more of the same in the second, with ninth seed Bartoli beaten 6-1 again.

Carla Suarez Navarro will take on Tamira Paszek for the right to play Kvitova in the last eight.
