Laura Robson pulls out of the Rogers Cup in Toronto at the last minute because of a wrist injury.

British number one Laura Robson pulled out of the Rogers Cup in Toronto at the last minute this afternoon.

The 19-year-old, who became the first British woman to reach the last 16 at Wimbledon in 15 years last month, cited a wrist injury as the reason for her withdrawal.

She was due to face Yanina Wickmayer, who will now take on lucky loser Bethanie Mattek-Sands.

The Rogers Cup got underway this afternoon.
