Agnieszka Radwanska advances in China Open

Agnieszka Radwanska is into the second round of the China Open after cruising past American Coco Vandeweghe 6-4 6-3.

The world number six, who suffered an early exit from the Wuhan Open last week, is aiming to cement her place in the WTA finals in Singapore next month.

Radwanska, 25, will play either Italy's Roberta Vinci or Yaroslava Shvedova of Kazakhstan in the next round in Beijing.

The final of the China Open will be played on October 5.
