Cameron Norrie misses out on Atlanta Open final

British number two Cameron Norrie misses out on a place in the Atlanta Open final after suffering a three-set defeat to Ryan Harrison.

Cameron Norrie has suffered a three-set defeat to Ryan Harrison in the semi-finals of the Atlanta Open.

The British number two had been hoping to progress through to his first-ever ATP Tour final, but Harrison overcame a slow start to run out a 2-6 6-3 6-2 victor.

Norrie dropped just three points behind his serve in taking the opener, but although the left-hander remained tight behind his own delivery in the second, Harrison was still able to claim the only break to set up a decider.

The American quickly broke at the start of the third, and it remained one-way traffic as the world number 53 wrapped up his success in just under one hour and 45 minutes.

Despite his success, Norrie - the world number 73 - will make no improvement in the ATP World Rankings due to having to defend his points from winning last year's Binghampton Challenger.
