Andy Murray grabs quarter-final spot in Rotterdam

Murray seals quarter-final place

Andy Murray has sealed a place in the quarter-finals of the Amro World Tennis Tournament in Rotterdam following a 6-3 7-5 victory over Vasek Pospisil.

Games went by way of serve early in the first set and it was only in the eighth game when the breakthrough was made.

Murray, who is competing in his first tournament since losing to Novak Djokovic in the Australian Open, went a break up and was able to serve out for the set on his second set point.

Pospisil came close to an early break in the second game, but Murray was able to save four break points and hold his serve.

The Scotsman eventually broke, but his Canadian opponent broke back instantly and was able to hold to give himself a 4-3 lead in the set.

Pospisil swung the momentum in his direction by sealing another break point, but this time, Murray responded immediately and went on to wrap up the match.
