Monfils ousts Bubka in Miami

Gael Monfils has overcome the challenge of Sergei Bubka to see him through to round three of the Sony Ericsson Open in Miami, Florida.

The agile Frenchman needed only one break of serve as he took the opening set 6-4.

The Ukrainian proved to be more stubborn in the second as he stuck with his opponent thanks to some devastating serves.

However, the world number 14 had the quality where it mattered as he found the vital break on his way to taking the set 6-4.
