Li Na battles past Jelena Jankovic in Istanbul

Li Na has won her second match at the WTA Championships in Istanbul with a 6-3 2-6 6-3 victory over Jelena Jankovic.

The Chinese number one started the brighter of the two players and broke Jankovic twice on her way to taking the opening set inside 42 minutes.

Serbian player Jankovic fought back in the second set, breaking her opponent three times before claiming it 6-2.

There was little to separate the pair in the early stages of the third set, but some good returning from Li saw her break to open up a two-game advantage.

She then broke Jankovic for the third time in the set to secure victory.
