Kyle Edmund makes main draw at Qatar Open

Kyle Edmund has recorded a straight-sets win over Radu Albot to reach the main draw of the Qatar Open.

The British number three broke serve four times on the way to a 6-2 6-4 victory over the world number 121.

Edmund will now face Slovakia's Martin Klizan - the world number 43 - in the first round.

However, there was disappointment for James Ward in the final qualifying round in Chennai as he let slip a one-set lead on the way to a 2-6 7-5 6-4 defeat to Somdev Devvarman.
