Petra Kvitova wins 2014 Dongfeng Motor Wuhan Open

Petra Kvitova beats Eugenie Bouchard in straight sets to win the 2014 Dongfeng Motor Wuhan Open.

Petra Kvitova has won the Dongfeng Motor Wuhan Open after beating Canadian Eugenie Bouchard in straight sets 6-3 6-4.

The Czechoslovakian dominated from start to finish to win the championship in China.

Kvitova started off quickly by breaking Bouchard's serve in the first game and then went on to produce a nerveless performance as the Wimbledon champion wrapped up the first set.

The 20-year-old Canadian picked up a finger injury at the start of the second set, which Kvitova was able to capitalise on as she continued to dominate.

Bouchard began to fight back as she broke Kvitova's serve for the first time in the match, during the Czech's championship point at 5-2.

Kvitova then held serve to win the second set and the match to clinch the title.
