John Isner gets past Christian Harrison

John Isner has defeated Christian Harrison in three sets to book his place in the third round of the Atlanta Open.

The first set went the way of the big-serving Isner, who prevailed 11-9 in a tie-break. However, Harrison was able to break serve in the second set to take it 6-4.

Once again, the match went with serve until Isner secured a decisive break to go 6-5 ahead before serving out for the win.

The 28-year-old will now face James Blake, who beat Evgeny Donskoy 6-3 6-2, in the next round.
