David Goffin clinches maiden ATP title in Kitzbuehel

Belgian youngster David Goffin has clinched his maiden ATP title with a victory over Dominic Thiem in the final of the Kitzbuehel Cup.

The 23-year-old, who is ranked 78th in the world, lost the opening set 4-6 before fighting back emphatically to take the second 6-1.

Goffin then saw off his Austrian opponent 6-3 in the decider to get his hands on the trophy.

Both players were appearing in their first final on the ATP Tour.
