Juan Martin Del Potro sets up David Ferrer clash

Juan Martin Del Potro has secured his passage into the next round of the Miami Masters with victory over Marin Cilic.

The big-hitting Argentine took just over an hour and 48 minutes to dispose of the Croat in straight sets 6-3 7-6[3].

Victory for the 2009 US champion sets up a clash with David Ferrer, who beat Julien Benneteau.

Del Potro has climbed back up to 11th in the world rankings since returning from a wrist injury which kept him out all of last season.
