Dominika Cibulkova clinches Mercury Insurance Open

Dominika Cibulkova won the Mercury Insurance Open with a straight-sets victory over Marion Bartoli in Carlsbad, California.

The second seed recorded a 6-1 7-5 triumph over the top seed to clinch her first title of the year.

The Slovakian had previously reached the final of the Barcelona Open in April.

Cibulkova will now turn her attention to the Olympic Games where she will represent her country in both the singles and women's doubles.
