Broady is only ranked nine places below the American in the WTA rankings but she suffered a 6-2 6-0 defeat to the world number 71.
The 26-year-old is regarded as one of the biggest servers on the tour, but she was broken five times and won just 41% of points behind her own delivery.
Heather Watson had also been due to compete in the Czech Republic but she withdrew over the weekend with a quadriceps injury.
Elsewhere, Laura Robson is competing in a WTA event in Morocco and she will begin her campaign against Ghita Benhadi on Tuesday.
