Tomas Berdych sees off John Isner challenge

Tomas Berdych advances in the Miami Masters thanks to a 6-3 7-5 victory against John Isner.

Tomas Berdych has beaten John Isner in straight sets in their fourth-round match at the Miami Masters.

Both players started strongly, holding serve comfortably. However, Berdych, the seventh seed, was able to break the big-serving American to move into a 4-2 lead.

Despite failing to take two break and set points at 5-2 on Isner's serve, Berdych was able to see out the set 6-3 in the next game.

The second set went with serve up until 5-5, when Berdych got a crucial break. With the win within touching distance, he then dominated what proved to be the final game of the match to confirm a 6-3 7-5 victory.
