Tomas Berdych into Dubai final

Tomas Berdych gets past Philipp Kohlschreiber in straight sets to reach the Dubai Tennis Championships final.

Czech player Tomas Berdych has reached the final of the Dubai Tennis Championships with a straight-sets victory over Philipp Kohlschreiber of Germany.

Kohlschreiber flew into the perfect start as he managed to break the Czech to 15 in the opening game of the match before holding his next three service games very comfortably.

However, at 5-3 down Berdych fought back to hold serve and then break twice in a row to completely turn the opening set on its head with a 7-5 win.

Berdych was taken to advantage in his first service game in the second set before forcing a break point in the fourth as it again started very competitively.

The second went with serve until the crucial moment at 6-5 to Berdych, when the Czech forced the break with his second match point to advance to the final where he will face either Novak Djokovic or Roger Federer.
