Result: John Isner progresses in Paris

American John Isner fought back from a set down against Stanislas Wawrinka to advance in the Paris Masters this evening.

Swiss right-hander Wawrinka claimed the opening set 7-3 on a tie-break, only to lose that lead in the second set when Isner responded with a 7-5 success.

Isner coming out on top 7-5 in a second tie-breaker in the next set to wrap up the win.

He will now face Russia's Igor Kunitsyn in round two.
