Result: Roger Federer books Paris Masters quarter-final place

Roger Federer has booked his place in the quarter-finals of the Paris Masters with a straight-sets win against Richard Gasquet.

The world number four brushed aside his opponent 6-2 in the first set before a 6-4 victory in the second.

The Swiss will now take on Argentina's Juan Monaco in the last 16.

During his 13-year professional career, Federer has never won the Paris title.
