Milos Raonic stuns Roger Federer to reach semi-finals of Paris Masters

Milos Raonic stuns Roger Federer in straight sets to reach the semi-finals of the Paris Masters.

Roger Federer's chances of snatching Novak Djokovic's number one world ranking have taken a hit after he suffered a 7-6(5) 7-5 defeat to Milos Raonic in the quarter-finals of the Paris Masters.

It was a tight contest in the opening set with games going the way of serve, but Roanic came closest to finding the first break.

A tie-break was needed to decide the opener, and despite breaking early on, Federer relinquished the set and was pushed onto the back foot.

Once again, both players were strong on their service games until Raonic converted a crucial break point to give himself the edge in the second set.

The Canadian, who had never beaten Federer prior to this game, needed to just hold serve to win the match and he did so successfully to secure a place in the final four.
