Marin Cilic out of Paris Masters

World number 15 Marin Cilic exited the Paris Masters at the hands of Jerzy Janowicz this afternoon.

There was very little to separate the two players during the opening set and as a result a tie-break was required to determine a victor.

Both players continued to hold their service games until Poland's Janowicz claimed a decisive break, before serving out for an 8-6 success.

With the scores level at two games apiece in the second set, 21-year-old Janowicz, who is currently ranked 64 in the world standings, broke Cilic to open up a 3-2 advantage.

He then proceeded to win the next three games in succession to book his place in round three in the French capital, where he could now face US Open champion Andy Murray.
