Germany's Philipp Kohlshreiber is through to the third round of the Paris Masters following a straight-sets win over 11th seed Tommy Haas.

Philipp Kohlschreiber has progressed to the third round of the Paris Masters following a straight-sets win over Tommy Haas this evening.

The 11th seed struggled with his serve in the opening set, making four double faults to help his compatriot two breaks of serve.

Haas had a chance to break back, but Kohlschreiber saved two break points before serving out the set.

Haas looked to fight back at the start of the second set, but he continued to have problems with his serve, getting just 38% of his first deliveries in, allowing Kohlschreiber to secure two more breaks before wrapping up the match in just over an hour.

Kohlshcreiber will face either Roger Federer or Kevin Anderson in the next round.
