David Ferrer has moved into the semi-finals of the Paris Masters with a comfortable straight-sets victory over Jo-Wilfried Tsonga.

It took the fourth seed just 33 minutes to win the opening set as two breaks of serve saw him take it 6-2.

Both players gave little away in the second, but the Spaniard found an elusive break late on to close out the match against the sixth seed 7-5.

Ferrer will meet either Michael Llodra or Sam Querrey in the last four of the tournament.
