Nicolas Almagro sees off Ivan Dodig at Paris Masters

Nicolas Almagro has defeated Croatia's Ivan Dodig in the second round of the Paris Masters.

He will now meet either seventh seed Stanislas Wawrinka or fellow countryman Feliciano Lopez in round three.

The Spanish 12th seed saved three break points on his way to taking the opening set 6-4 before he completed the victory 6-3 in the second.

Almagro has never got further than the third round of the tournament in the French capital.
