WTA Finals move to Singapore

The WTA confirms that its end-of-year finals tournament will be held in Singapore until at least 2018.

The WTA has announced that its end-of-year finals tournament will be held in Singapore for at least the next five years.

The event has taken place in Istanbul since 2011 following a two-year spell in Doha.

The newly-expanded tournament, which runs from October 17-26, will include competitions for up-and-coming tour players and veterans.

Twelve-time Grand Slam singles champion Billie Jean King will be the event's official ambassador.
