The All England Club have announced that a retractable roof will be built on court number one at Wimbledon for future tournaments.
The elite major competition already has a roof, which was created by Rod Sheard and his firm Populous, on centre court to ensure that play can resume whatever the weather conditions.
It has now been confirmed that the All England Club will commission a retractable cover for the number one court in time for the 2019 championships.
The centre court roof took three years to build.
