British number two James Ward has been given a wild card for the AEGON Championships at Queen's Club next month.

The 26-year-old previously made it to the semi-finals of the competition in 2011 and will join the tournament schedule alongside fellow Brit Andy Murray.

"James Ward made a huge impression on the crowd in reaching the semi-finals in 2011, and his performance in Davis Cup recently was heroic," said tournament director Chris Kermode.

"The Head of Men's Tennis in Britain, Leon Smith, had no hesitation in recommending James for a wild card and we look forward to welcoming him back in June."

World number 24 Alexandr Dolgopolov has also been handed a wild card for the competition.
