Serena Williams has defeated Marion Bartoli to win the Bank of the West Classic in Stanford, California.
The title is Williams's first since she won the Women's Singles title at the 2010 Wimbledon Championships.
The American, who spent nearly a year off court with injury problems, overpowered Bartoli to win in straight sets 7-5 6-1.
