Nadal leaves hospital after surgery

Rafael Nadal has left hospital after undergoing a successful operation to remove his appendix.

The Spaniard, who has not set a date for his return to action, decided last month that he would address the problem, which hampered him for a number of weeks.

According to ESPN, when leaving the Quiron Teknon hospital, Nadal said: "Everything went well. It was simple, ordinary surgery."

A statement confirmed that Nadal has been advised by doctors not to return to full training until after one month of recovery from the key-hole surgery.

Nadal will miss the season-ending ATP World Tour Finals at the O2 in London later this month.
