Murray through to Thai Open final

Andy Murray has advanced through the final of the Thailand Open with victory over Frenchman Gilles Simon.

The 24-year-old won through in Bangkok 6-2 3-6 6-2 in a time of one hour and 53 minutes.

He will now take on Donald Young in tomorrow's final after the American defeated Gael Monfils 4-6 7-6 [7/5] 7-6 [7/5] in the earlier semi-final.

Murray previously reached the final of the Thai Open in 2005 but lost to former world number one Roger Federer.
