Andy Murray plays prank with new coach tweet?

Andy Murray is reportedly not naming his new coach on Wednesday despite claiming the opposite on Tuesday.

Andy Murray will reportedly not be naming his new coach on Wednesday, despite claiming the opposite earlier on Tuesday.

The world number eight tweeted that he was ready to announce the appointment within the next 24 hours.

Murray is looking for a new coach after splitting with Ivan Lendl last month.

The Brit enjoyed a successful two-year partnership with Lendl, winning the 2012 US Open, and Olympic gold medal and last year's Wimbledon.

However, it is understood that the 26-year-old's tweet on Tuesday was in fact an April Fools' Day prank.

Murray is currently training for the Madrid Open, which gets underway on May 5.
