Roger Federer not thinking about retirement

Federer not considering retirement

Seventeen-time Grand Slam winner Roger Federer has insisted that he is not considering the prospect of retirement.

There have been suggestions that the Swiss pro could hang up his racquet soon as he prepares to enter the 2013 Wimbledon Championships at 31 years of age.

"As long as I enjoy playing, why would I stop doing something I enjoy doing?" Sporting Life quotes Federer as saying.

"[If I retired] it would be way too early and I'd love to do this for a really, really long time. Unfortunately it all comes to an end at one point, but I still think I can compete at the highest of levels so we'll see how things go."

Federer is one of three players to have accumulated the Australian Open, Wimbledon, French Open and US Open titles.
